The Galaxy S25 and Pixel 9 are the market's two most interesting premium compacts. Their approaches, though, are opposites.
Design and display
Nearly the same footprint (6.2" vs 6.3"), same 120 Hz principle. The Pixel leans on its signature bar, Samsung on restraint. The S25 is brighter (2600 nits) — a real argument at our latitudes.
Battery and charging: slight Samsung edge
Close batteries, equivalent real-day endurance. Samsung's 25 W beats the Pixel's 20 W — both stay slow by Chinese standards.
Samsung Galaxy S25
12GB RAM · 128GB · 6.2 · AMOLED Dynamic LTPO Amoled 2X
Camera: two schools
- Pixel 9: the computational reference, night and portraits nearly unbeatable effort-free
- S25: more versatile (ultra-wide + 3x zoom), pro controls, better video
Software: 7 years on both sides
One UI 7 offers more AI features; the Pixel offers Android purity and first access to novelties.
Verdict
Pure photographer? Pixel 9. Versatility, brightness, charging, and availability on the Algerian market (where the S25 is far better distributed)? The Samsung. Compare both at real prices.
