The Galaxy A56 at DZD 72,000 is the better buy of the two. The Galaxy A57 starts at DZD 83,500 for the same 6.7-inch screen, the same 5,000 mAh battery and the same 8 GB / 128 GB configuration. The DZD 11,500 gap pays for a newer chip, not for a different experience.
Our November 1, 2026 survey compares active offers from Algerian stores. Eight shops list the A56, five list the A57. That availability gap weighs as much as the specifications.

What actually changes
| Galaxy A57 | Galaxy A56 | |
|---|---|---|
| Price found | DZD 83,500 – 108,000 | DZD 72,000 – 92,900 |
| Median price | DZD 96,000 | DZD 86,000 |
| Screen | 6.7" AMOLED 120 Hz | 6.7" AMOLED 120 Hz |
| Chip | Exynos 1680 | Exynos 1580 |
| Memory | 8 GB / 128 GB | 8 GB / 128 GB |
| Battery | 5,000 mAh | 5,000 mAh |
On paper the only clear difference is the chip. The Exynos 1680 brings a moderate performance gain, visible in games and video editing, not in WhatsApp or Chrome. Both phones share the same screen, battery capacity and memory configuration.

The maths in dinars
At the floor price, the A56 costs DZD 72,000 and the A57 DZD 83,500. For DZD 11,500 you get a newer chip and one more year of updates. That is reasonable if you keep the phone four years.
The problem arrives at the top price. The A57 climbs to DZD 108,000. At that figure it meets the Galaxy S24 FE at DZD 86,000, which offers a telephoto sensor and an Exynos 2400. It also meets the iPhone 15 at DZD 99,000. An A57 at DZD 108,000 no longer makes sense.
Availability changes the deal
Eight shops list the A56, only five the A57. In practice the A56 is easier to negotiate, easier to find when something breaks, and its price falls faster. A recent but thinly distributed model sells at a premium and resells worse.
The A57 is also missing from some retailers that have carried the A56 for a year. Before travelling, check real availability in our store directory.

Who the A57 suits
The A57 makes sense if you find it at DZD 85,000 or less, and if you keep a phone for more than three years. The chip gain and the extra year of updates then absorb the difference. It also makes sense if the A56 is not available in the capacity you want near you.
It does not make sense at DZD 96,000 or more. At that price the S24 FE and the iPhone 15 are better phones, and the Galaxy S25 FE at DZD 100,000 adds a flagship chip.
Years of updates
The A57 gets six major Android updates, the A56 five, according to the makers' spec sheets. One extra year of support pushes back the date the phone stops receiving security patches. Over a purchase kept until 2031, the DZD 11,500 gap works out to DZD 2,900 a year, for a newer chip and one more Android version. That is the only calculation that justifies the step up.

In the other direction, staying with the A56 at DZD 72,000 leaves DZD 11,500 for a case, a spare charger and a battery replacement in three years. For most buyers, that money is better spent elsewhere. Two extra years of support also show up at resale, where the A57 holds a slightly better price.
Verdict
Buy the Galaxy A56 at DZD 72,000. It is the same screen, battery and memory for DZD 11,500 less. Buy the A57 only below DZD 85,000 and only if you want the newest chip. Above DZD 90,000, change category rather than model.
