Between DZD 25,000 and 50,000, the Galaxy A17 at DZD 36,000 remains the safest pick: 128 GB, a recent Exynos 1330 and better software support than the segment average. The Redmi Note 14 at DZD 33,900 wins on camera and memory. The Reno12 F at DZD 38,900 is the only one with 256 GB of storage.
Our November 1, 2026 survey covers the active offers published by Algerian stores listed in the comparison tool. The ranges below run from the lowest to the highest price found for the same configuration.

Three models, three approaches
| Model | Price found | Screen | Battery | Memory |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Samsung Galaxy A17 | DZD 36,000 – 46,000 | 6.7" | 5,000 mAh | 4 GB / 128 GB |
| Oppo Reno12 F | DZD 38,900 – 55,500 | 6.67" | 5,000 mAh | 8 GB / 256 GB |
| Realme C85 | DZD 41,500 – 45,000 | 6.8" | 7,000 mAh | 4 GB / 128 GB |
| Samsung Galaxy M36 | DZD 43,000 – 60,000 | 6.7" | 5,000 mAh | 6 GB / 128 GB |
| Samsung Galaxy A26 | DZD 48,000 – 51,000 | 6.7" | 5,000 mAh | 4 GB / 128 GB |
Galaxy A17, the safe choice
The A17 repeats the A16 formula with a newer chip and a 6.7-inch 90 Hz screen. Its 128 GB and 4 GB of RAM are enough for WhatsApp, two banking apps, music and holiday photos. The 50 MP sensor produces decent daylight images and struggles indoors, which is normal at this price.

Its main appeal is not a spectacular feature but the absence of nasty surprises. Samsung's interface stays smooth after two years, cases and screen protectors are sold everywhere, and updates arrive. For a phone you keep, that is worth the DZD 2,000 over the Redmi.
Redmi Note 14 for the camera
At DZD 33,900, the Redmi Note 14 is the cheapest in the selection with a 108 MP sensor and 6 GB of RAM. The main sensor is still small, so night shots are noisy. In daylight it captures more detail than the A17, and the extra memory keeps more apps open.
The Dimensity 7025 handles games at medium settings and 4G. Xiaomi's software support is shorter than Samsung's in this range. If you replace your phone every two years, that gap does not matter. Beyond that, you should know about it.
Reno12 F: 256 GB at DZD 38,900
This is the outlier of the segment: 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for DZD 38,900, roughly DZD 20,000 below most 256 GB rivals. Its top price climbs to DZD 55,500, which makes no sense next to a Galaxy A56 5G at DZD 72,000, and none at all next to the A17 at DZD 36,000.

The Reno12 F targets people who store videos and photos without sorting them. Its Dimensity 6300 is honest, no more. Check that the unit on sale really is the 8 GB version and not a 4 GB model dressed up as a promotion.
What to avoid
The Galaxy M36 at DZD 43,000 can reach DZD 60,000 depending on the shop. At that price the Galaxy A36 at DZD 59,900 offers a better chip and a better screen. The M36 only makes sense below DZD 48,000.
The iPhone XR at DZD 41,000 tempts many buyers. It is a 2018 model: ageing battery, LCD panel and software support near its end. Below DZD 40,000 it remains usable, but it is not a purchase for the future.

The Galaxy A26 at DZD 48,000 sits too close to the Galaxy A36 at DZD 59,900, which beats it on every count. Wait for a promotion or move straight to the A36.
Verdict
Buy the Galaxy A17 at DZD 36,000 if you want three years without surprises. Buy the Redmi Note 14 at DZD 33,900 if daylight photography and memory matter more than updates. Buy the Reno12 F at DZD 38,900 if you need 256 GB. In every case, do not pay more than DZD 41,000 for these three models: the next segment starts at DZD 59,900.
