Samsung opened 2025 with a statement: the Galaxy S25 Ultra brings arguments built to last, but the S24 Ultra remains on shelves — and its price has started to slide. For Algerian buyers the real question: is the gap worth tens of thousands of dinars?
Design and display: refinement before revolution
The S25 Ultra finally rounds the corners: a slimmer titanium frame, softer edges, weight down to 218 g, and a 6.9-inch panel under Gorilla Armor 2 — the anti-glare coating gets even better, which you feel daily under Algerian sun.
Performance: the real jump
| S25 Ultra | S24 Ultra | |
|---|---|---|
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm) | Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 |
| RAM | 12 GB | 12 GB |
| Main camera | 200 MP + 5x periscope | 200 MP + 5x periscope |
| Battery | 5000 mAh, 45 W | 5000 mAh, 45 W |
The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers roughly 30-40% more CPU power and a much faster GPU. For heavy gaming and the years ahead, the gap will keep growing.

Verdict for Algerian buyers
- On an S24 Ultra? Keep it another year — support runs to 2031 and the real-world gain is modest.
- Coming from an S22/S23? The S25 Ultra is the right jump.
- Tight budget? A discounted S24 Ultra is currently Samsung's best flagship value.
